The purpose of the GRN Executive Committee (EC) is to determine the broad strategic direction of the GRN, addressing matters such as governance and membership. The purpose also extends to the EC reviewing and assessing the work of the functional teams operating under the EC and known as the Operational Teams (OTs).
The EC meet twice per year; one face-to-face meeting held in conjunction with an international conference to facilitate liaison with associated industry groups such as IOGP, IPIECA, API, ITAC who may be invited to contribute to those meetings.
Our 2018 face-to-face meeting was held prior to Interspill in London and we were please to welcome Richard Santner from the IPIECA Oil Spill Group as well as our newest GRN Member – Clean Gulf Associates. You can find out more about the GRN Members here.
The main focus of this meeting was to review the GRN Operational Teams (OT) activity – assessing progress of each OT, re-directing objectives as appropriate, and reviewing any recommendations for OT changes. You can find out more about the different OTs here
