Our Members

Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) is the largest global industry-owned response co-operative providing preparedness, response and intervention services world-wide. Membership represents the majority of global oil production, comprising some 160 environmentally responsible organisations from government, marine and energy-related sectors.

Operating from strategic locations in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and the Americas, OSRL is an industry leader in this field, having acquired a distinguished track record by attending more than 400 oil spill incidents during the past three decades.

An emergency response can be activated from Bases in Fort Lauderdale, Southampton, and Singapore – and membership guarantees instant access to a wide range of expert personnel and specialist resources, on call 24 hours a day every day of the year. Aviation services are key to business delivery with dedicated aircraft strategically placed to deploy equipment rapidly anywhere in the world, and to provide aerial dispersant and surveillance operations.

Access to integrated capping, containment and dispersant injection capability is available internationally in the event of a subsea well control incident.

Offering an accredited training service, OSRL delivers a programme of published and client-tailored courses designed to address training needs from operational to management levels; and in addition provides a wide range of technical, management and consultancy services.

Our members’ business operations heavily rely on collaboration.   The key to this relationship is working with other OSRO cooperatives that are GRN members. The GRN has continued to grow and, most importantly, to collaborate as new issues confront us all as OSROs.  The GRN works together in many different ways, but for me, shared training, operational teams, and pooling response resources in the event of a major incident stand out.
